Last Sunday saw the running of Birdwell
Wheeler’s “Rarnd Tarn” Audax ride which as far as possible follows the old
As has been the case in the last three
years, the club used the event to publicise and raise money for charity, this
year Barnsley Hospice being the chosen organisation.
On a cold but dry morning 32 riders ,15
Birdwell members and 17 visitors, assembled at 9am at Birdwell Community Centre
ready to tackle the 125km ride.

The ride was not a timed event but
Wheelers Trevor Mayne ,Ben Harvey, Dan Taylor and Geared Up Cycles Tom Booth
were first home in a very respectable 5 hours.
Riders afterwards welcomed the
refreshments provided by organiser Bob Waterhouse.
